The tourist season lifts demand, so many owners charge more in the peak weeks and on holidays. The best homes, those close to the centre or to the main roads, are often booked a month ahead.
On each home page, days already taken are marked and seasonal prices are included in the quote. Pick your dates early, compare a few homes and leave a request to have a place held.
If your dates are flexible, try moving by a few days or staying midweek: prices are usually softer and open homes are easier to find.
